BUGO NHS PRINCIPAL RESOLVE TEACHERS WOES BY GIVING TEACHERS COMPUTER NOTEBOOK

How can we expect teachers to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently to learners when they do not have the right equipment to do so?

The COVID-19 pandemic and following lockdown brought about a major change in the working of education systems in Philippines and in the world. Relying on the smartphones and computers made education services to learners has been not only difficult for students but also for teachers.

Despite the shift towards other alternative learning delivery modes, the Department of Education (DepEd) reminded teachers that there is no urgent need to buy laptops or computers. DepEd, however, recognizes the importance of having the right equipment for the task at hand, and is striving to immediately provide Public School Teachers with laptops and other equipment.

In responses to the teachers’ woes, the BNHS School principal, Roel R. Lamberte, helps in mitigating the arising issues by providing each teacher with computer notebook. The principal said, “It is only a temporary solution for teachers without devices.”

Some photos of BNHS teachers who received the laptop.

The said devices were from DepED Batch 2 J2019-02HS/SHSICT Package. The package is a computer bag, Coby NBPC1958 Laptop with charger, power cord, headset, wireless mouse and mouse pad AC000029.

“The beauty of this approach is that we have options available for everyone. The school year is not only for those with laptops or cell phones,” he said.

The said computer distribution is following the OUA Memo 00-0420-0029 guidelines.

We hope that other schools in this Division can also emulate this initiative because at the end of the day, we all shout a common battle cry – “Para sa bata, para sa bayan.”
