BNHS Senior High School Teacher and a Philippine Air Force (PAF) Reservest: Takes the Lead in School Disaster Risk Reduction Management

This school year is a challenging year to all of us since the whole world, including our country and is experiencing this pandemic and striving to contain the spread of corona virus diseases (Covid-19).

Despite all of this, Bugo National High School is committed to provide quality education to our learners as well as to ensure a conducive and safe learning environment following standards and health protocols set by our government.

Pursuant to Memorandum No. 71, s. 2020, Bugo National High School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held last September 10, 2020, Thursday at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon. In this connection, the SDRRMT Coordinator, Jenelin S. Enero, with the approval of the School Principal, Roel R. Lamberte conducted a virtual meeting with the Committee In-charge leaders in Planning and Implementation of the said activity.

During the drill, every time the bell rang, the teachers reporting on-site automatically performed the DROP, COVER and HOLD as the immediate precautionary measures if an earthquake happens, still following the safety health protocols.

Furthermore, the advisers were encouraged to disseminate information about earthquake awareness to their respective advisory class thru group chats.

To conclude, the said activity was successfully implemented adhering

the  SDRRMT’s tagline:

 “Everybody’s SAFETY is our PRIORITY!”
