 Planting Helps One's Mental Health

PLANTITOS AND PLANTITAS are trending now. The Bugo NHS teachers also revive their passion for plants. Indeed, they  are plant hobbyist since before pandemic strikes.

Why teachers plant more?

Planting is a great way to relieve stress. Whether you have a small patio to decorate or a vast amount of space to tend, the act of planting can be a stress reliever in itself, and the garden they created bring even more peace. 

 

How taking care of plants helps one's mental health?

Psychologist Renz Argao said that "taking care of plants is a way of engaging in positive activities that help people cope with the pandemic." Moreover, he said:

"Its benefit is similar to other positive or adaptive coping. You can get the same effects from practicing other forms of mindfulness, breathing exercises, or engaging in other activities that you enjoy or like, such as baking or cooking or engaging in sports."


Getting In Touch With Nature

The vast works that the teachers face every day and the amount of time spend indoors give them boredom and monotony. 


Thus, many teachers feel a desire to connect with nature and bond with family.
