BUGO NHS UNDERWENT SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT VALIDATION

The first validation of the school after the onslaught of the pandemic, COVID-19.

It has been the annual practice of the DepEd Cagayan de Oro City Division to determine the level of practice among schools through School Based Management Validation. School-based management (SBM) is a strategy to improve education by transferring significant decision-making authority from state and district offices to individual schools. It also desires to improve education by transferring significant decision-making authority from state and district offices to individual schools.

This on-going  activity attempts to determine how far the schools have improved and sustained their existing level of practice through presentation of acceptable means of verification (MOVs) manifested through actual or tangible evidences, digital or on-line proofs and other means which the validation team considers appropriate.

There are four principles which serve as basis in validation the schools SBM Level of Practice and they are: Leadership and Governance , Curriculum and Learning, Accountability and Continuous Improvement and Management of Resources. Primarily the objectives of SBM are: Empower the school heads to lead their teachers and students through reforms which lead to higher learning outcome; Bring resources, including funds down to the control of school to spur change in line with decentralization; Strengthen partnership with communities to invest time, money and effort in making the school a better place to learn; and Integrate school management and instructional reformation for school effectiveness.

BUGO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL NEW SCHOOL-IN-CHARGE

JOSIE A. SALALIMA: Bugo NHS newly installed school-in-charge of Bugo National High School

The Schools Division Superintendent, Cherry Mae Limbaco appoints Mrs. Josie A. Salalima to be the new school-in-charge of Bugo National High School. The ceremony is simple but full formality. The position duly signed by our SDS affirms her earmark journey of managing the school.

Good leadership in schools fosters nurturing learning environments that help learners grow and develop.

To cultivate such an environment, school heads must navigate and promote collaboration across the often complex network of stakeholders: education authorities, teachers, students, parents and local communities.

In a sense, school heads are the glue that holds everyone

 together.
